Skredderen fra Damaskus
Made-to-measure tailoring · Norway
“Made for you alone.”
The maker
The Tailor from Damascus works in Norway. Every garment is made to measure (skreddersøm etter mål): cut for one body, sewn by hand, never off the rack.
The jasmine in the mark is Damascus’s flower; the needle is the work.

Dyra på Gården
On a small farm in Norway, the wool starts with the animals: alpacas, mohair goats and angora rabbits. They live outdoors in the grass and in the straw of the barn. Their fleece is carded and spun by hand on the farm, at a wooden spinning wheel, then woven on an old loom or knitted into pieces that are made one at a time.
